Machine Compliance

Control Systems Australia provides electrical and machine-safety upgrades for imported machinery that does not meet Australian requirements. We work with businesses that have purchased equipment from China and other overseas manufacturers and need the machine inspected, modified and prepared for operation in an Australian workplace.

Imported machinery commonly arrives with inadequate emergency-stop systems, unsuitable electrical components, incomplete guarding, exposed moving parts, non-compliant control panels or safety circuits that do not provide the required level of protection. CSA can assess the machine’s electrical and control systems, identify the required modifications and complete the necessary upgrade work before the equipment enters production.

Our imported machinery compliance services include emergency-stop systems, light curtains, safety relays, safety PLCs, guard-door interlocks, safety-rated contactors, monitored reset circuits and electrical control-panel modifications. We can also replace unsuitable components, upgrade machine wiring, modify PLC programs, install Australian-standard power connections and integrate new safety functions into the existing control system.

Where an imported machine requires more substantial work, CSA can redesign and rebuild the electrical and control system using locally supported components. This provides a safer and more maintainable machine while reducing the long-term problems associated with unsupported overseas PLCs, electrical equipment and replacement parts.

We work directly with importers, manufacturers, machine owners and engineering teams to complete the electrical modifications, safety-system installation, PLC programming, testing and commissioning required to bring overseas machinery into line with applicable Australian electrical and machine-safety requirements.

CSA provides imported machinery compliance, Chinese machinery electrical upgrades and industrial machine-safety services throughout Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and South East Queensland.

If you have imported machinery that cannot be connected, commissioned or placed into production due to electrical or machine-safety issues, CSA can inspect the equipment and provide a clear scope of the work required.
